Albert Tie

Albert, a quiet young man from Sarawak, often struggled with self-doubt and low confidence. As the eldest in his family, he felt a strong sense of responsibility and a deep desire to earn money, but for a long time, he was uncertain about which path to take. Growing up in a kopitiam, Lewis was surrounded by hawkers frying char kway teow, he heard many say engineers made good money. That idea planted a quiet spark for change.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours), Albert worked nearly three years as a Mechanical & Electrical Engineer at Gamuda. Although it seemed like a stable, well-paying job, his modest salary meant he had to hustle, and even drive Grab in the evenings while others assumed he had already “made it.”

In 2017, Albert began exploring stocks through a free course by a trading mentor, marking the start of his investment journey. Like many beginners, he spent hours searching for trading knowledge online but soon realized more information didn’t mean more clarity. By chance, he met Wei Sheng and, under his guidance, began learning forex and stock indices trading which is one of the best in his life.

Early setbacks, including losing all his savings due to greed and impatience, tested his resolve. In March 2019, Albert restarted with just RM500 and, through persistence and discipline, steadily grew his portfolio, eventually doubling it and becoming a turning point in his trading journey.

Joining TX in October 2021, Albert continues his disciplined path and inspires others facing similar struggles. He is a mentor in the TMT course and firmly believes that with consistent effort and courage to overcome personal weaknesses, anyone can find their footing in trading.
